The Protege DIN Rail 16 Input Opto-Isolated Expander enhances the Protege system by providing 16 opto-isolated inputs, each electrically isolated to ensure reliable monitoring and automation. This expander is ideal for managing a wide range of open contact sensors, making it suitable for security, elevator control, and building automation.

With advanced analog-to-digital processing and 5x oversampling, the expander offers flexible input programming and configuration. It features four low-current (50mA) outputs for driving signaling devices and can monitor up to 16 trouble inputs. Secure, encrypted RS-485 communications, coupled with a high-performance 32-bit processor, ensure robust and reliable system integration. The expander supports online and remote firmware upgrades and is designed for easy installation using industry-standard DIN rail mounting.
